If you are intending to use the Yurt all year round in the UK climate, we would recommend an Insulated Yurt Lining. This will help the Yurt to retain the heat in cold weather. We manufacture Insulated Yurt Linings from UK-made recycled Wool felt, back with Polycotton Canvas. The Insulated Felt Yurt cover comes in two overlapping roof sections, and a number of wall sections, depending on the size of the Yurt. The Felt Lining goes between the wooden frame and the outer canvas cover, so is visible from the interior of the Yurt. For this reason a light colour such as Natural White or Light Tan is often chosen for the canvas colour. This gives the Yurt a more spacious interior.

For the installation of a Wood-burning Stove in your Yurt we recommend a Wood Stove Flue Outlet. This is a heatproof silicone flashing set into stainless steel plates and reinforced canvas, inserted into the roof section of your Yurt. You will need to let us know where you want the Stove positioned in the Yurt.

With the Stove itself, our chosen supplier is Snail Stoves. These artisan wood-burning stoves are manufactured locally in Somerset and come in a range of sizes with the option to have bespoke laser cut design in the door. If you are interested in purchasing a Snail Stove just contact us for more details.

Having a solid wooden platform floor for your Yurt is a popular option if the Yurt is sited in a semi-permanent pitch. A wooden platform keeps your Yurt off the ground damp and on a level surface. We can offer a Quotation to make a bespoke floor for your Yurt. The floor is constructed from a treated timber sub-frame built on pre-cast concrete deck blocks. The surface can be either from exterior grade chipboard or decking boards. The platform is completed with a plywood lip that keeps the Yurt in place. As the Yurt is raised up off the floor the platform includes steps up to the entrance door, although we can manufacature a wheelchair ramp if this is required.

Payment Terms:

Upon confirmation of an order, either the full amount, or a non-refundable 50% deposit is required before work commences. This may be paid by Cheque, Bank Transfer, Paypal or by Credit or Debit Card over the phone. 50% is then due when the Yurt is complete and must be received before the Yurt is collected or delivered.

Order to Delivery Time:

All of our structures are made to order. Depending on how busy we are and the size required, Yurts usually take between six and eight weeks to make. Late Spring & Summer is our peak season so the structures may take longer to complete at that time.
